What Are We?
We are a real cooking school for children from 4 - 94! We are provide a learning opportunity a life skill that they will use everyday.
What Do We Do?
We teach a very important and useful like skill How To Cook. Your Young Chefs learn a valuable culinary skills and techniques that they will use through out their lives. In addition our Young Chefs learn:-
* Reading - Comprehension and Vocabulary when reviewing the recipes
* Math - Measures, Weights, Equivalents, Counting and Dividing
* Science - How science works in the kitchen, watch it work and taste it!
* Food Safety - How to store, rotate and regenerate food correctly
* Nutrition - The values and benefits of all foods
How Do We Do This?
Our students come once a week to class. They learn the basics of cooking while having hands on participation in the preparation of real recipes. Each month we have a different theme. Each week within that month we have different recipes. This means the children are always learning about new dishes, ingredient or technique. We have found that children have become more adventurous about food as they learn about the dish and because they made it. Children also learn how to modify recipes to suit various dietary concerns and gain a knowledge into food safety and sanitation.
